INKtober day seventeen


Halloween is bearing down on us and I’ve got an itch to draw masks in whatever variation I can think of. While I’m not a big fan of the series (its long since gotten long in the tooth), and I shudder at it’s jingoistic overtones, there’s something intrinsically cool about this spot..

I like the idea of everything not having an inherent moral value. That whatever it is that you come across should be seen as neutral until its employed by whomever and then that’s when its imbued with purpose. Good, bad or indifferent. Jason Voorhies’ mask is a symbol of otherworldly terror and the same hockey mask on the ice is a tool for protection.

Just some dim bulb philosophy to usher in the weekend.
